Two Zakho University Professors Have been Included in the World’s Top 2% of Scientists List, 2023

Zakho University is pleased to announce that, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hazhar F. Ismail and Asst. Prof. Dr. Karmina K. Ali, from the Department of Mathematics in the College of Science, have been included in the World’s Top 2% of Scientists List, 2023, named by Stanford University.

Additionally, Stanford University has created a publicly available database of top-cited scientists that provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, and a composite indicator (c-score). Equally important, this work uses Scopus data provided by Elsevier.

It is worth mentioning that, 151 Iraqi scientists have been included in the list, of which 28 are from the Kurdistan Regional Government.
